Ok I have an idea but I need you guys to love it and or help me figure it out. I want to create an event that I will love, you will have fun AND we can do something good for fellow humans, mostly children.
So, my idea is that, being a runner, I should host 10K’s all over the planet to raise…
Pat, this sounds like an excellent idea! Always great to help out kids. There’s several major non-profits that would be good to look into. Whether it be for cancer research, education, the prevention of HIV/AIDS, ending child abuse, or even helping homeless teens and youngsters.
Here are a few that come to mind:
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
If you want to take a look at a longer list of Non-Profits, change.org is a great place to discover major and even smaller Non-Profits, as well as learning about issues happening around the world.
Hosting the event(s) at a High School or even a Park sounds like a good idea. (For Example) Eastlake High School in Sammamish, WA or even Marymoor Park in Redmond. Also, gathering some well-known bands to play, actors, etc. to come out and support and help raise $ with you guys. That always attracts crowds of people. Just some things that came to mind.
